FIVE TIPS FOR A

Happier Week

Tip One

Schedule time for prayer or quiet reflection. It can be first thing in the morning or before you go to bed at night. Reflect on what’s going well and areas where you can make the next moments in your life better.

Tip Two

MOVE! Whether it’s scheduling a workout in your living room, kitchen, garage, gym, group fitness, swim or even a walk around the block or a dance party in pajamas-make sure you are moving each day. You’ll find you’re more focused with more energy when doing this.

Tip Three

Eat dinner at the table. Eating at the table allows you to slow down, reflect on your day and if with someone else, enjoy a conversation vs sitting in front of the tv on the couch filling your brain with potential garbage, feeling unmotivated to get up and not paying a bit of attention to what food or the amount you’re eating. You deserve to enjoy your meals, your body deserves fuel and being conscious of what you eat will help that.

Tip Four

Listen to a motivational podcast, personal development or pray on your drive to work. Scanning through the radio and trying to find something other than depressing news is just plain frustrating and could be setting yourself up for a sour mood.

Tip Five

No phones in bed-read or pray to help yourself fall asleep and wind down. Scrolling through social media, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, this turns into a comparison game. And you’ve read of the countless studies that discuss the harm phone screen lights have on our sleep, health etc.. no phones in da bed!

Bonus-y’all ! Drink more water, even if it’s one less pop a day and subbing it with H2O-start small and increase as you’re able. Eat more greens and veggies and less sugary processed foods. Again this can be one swap a day. You know where you are and where you’ve been, but you’re the only one who knows where you’re going ️

How can you incorporate even one of these strategies for a happier day?
